Bob Group
Interactive website for iconic ecommerce brand
Brief
When much-loved and long established 'Bid or Buy' changed the branding and positioning of their varied offerings, they put up a number of temporary websites to ensure their web presence reflected the new look...
However, the time had come to upgrade these temporary sites into robust, premium web spaces, and Bob Group commissioned Brave to take on the challenge. The first focus was their main brand site, Bob.co.za.
Updated and expanded copy was needed to showcase their various offerings. This, along with new, cohesive design, would set the tone for the suite of brochure websites that were to follow.
OUR SOLUTION
A clean, impactful design brought to life using WordPress Elementor.
We took a mobile-first approach to ensure speed, ease-of-use and mobile friendliness.
Keeping a firm focus on the user, with a streamlined easy-to-navigate UI, high-impact visuals and appealing micro-animations and interactions to boost engagement, the site is also optimised for SEO, and is easy for admins to update in the WordPress CMS.
Fresh and clean design
After working together with the client on cleaning up and rounding out the copy, the design refresh began with deep dive into the new brand assets and CI to figure out the best way to showcase these in way that would be both user friendly and in-keeping with the latest design best-practices.
Utilising the lively and exciting colour palette, focusing on the faces of the Bob team and their element of 'personal touch', we designed the new site, starting with mobile.
Bespoke Elementor Build
For optimal CMS ease and support, client requested that we use WordPress for the build, and whilst we leveraged the immense power of Elementor, we opted custom-built elements to ensure a unique feel.
Lively interface
Micro animations, custom rollovers, and interactive elements keep the site dynamic and interesting.
All-over optimised
To ensure a great user experience, as well as SEO excellence, we built the site light, sleek and optimised for speed.
Legacy retention
We used redirects to ensure that no SEO and search legacy was lost when publishing the new-look pages and blog articles.
Custom hover states
Using CSS and Javascript, we created original custom styles for the menu rollover and button hover states.
